Overview

🏔️ Banana Travel presents: Lima + Cusco + Machu Picchu

7 Days / 6 Nights – Gastronomy, Sacred Valley & Ancient Wonders

A journey through Peru’s finest flavors and its most sacred history, from the coastal capital to the Andes and the new world wonder of Machu Picchu.

We start in Lima with a sunset cultural & gastronomic tour through Barranco, an art expo diving into Peruvian painting, ceramics, textiles and sculpture, and a welcome five-course dinner celebrating Andean, Amazonian and coastal flavors. A full day exploring Modern & Colonial Lima follows, from the Main Square and Government Palace to a Pisco Sour at the historic Bolívar Hotel and a hands-on cooking experience at Urban Kitchen.

From Lima we fly to Cusco and head straight into the Sacred Valley, staying at the Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness. Here we explore Chinchero’s ancestral crop terraces, the breathtaking Maras salt mines, and take part in a Pacha Mama ritual with a local indigenous community — one of the trip’s most meaningful moments.

The heart of the journey is Machu Picchu itself: a scenic train ride aboard the 360 Inca Rail, a private guided tour of the citadel, and a buffet lunch at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge. We close the trip in Cusco — staying at the Antigua Casona, a colonial boutique hotel in the historic center — walking through Sacsayhuamán, the Plaza de Armas and the Qoricancha Temple of the Sun, before a farewell dinner at the iconic MAP Café.
